The Northland Local History Website provides access to historical information for our service area through online content added to our website and links to additional online sources. Content will focus on the Borough of Bradford Woods, Franklin Park Borough, Marshall Township, the Town of McCandless, and Ross Township. There will be a specific focus on the history of Northland Public Library as well as all of North Park which is mostly located in the Town of McCandless but does cross into Hampton and Pine Townships. Links to additional online information will also include western Pennsylvania, the tri-state area and the state of Pennsylvania.
The intent is to add online content not available at other online sources and provide links to online content that is already available. Copyrighted material will not be included without written permission from the copyright holder.
Northland Historical Image Collection
The Northland Historical Image Collection content will follow the guidelines set forth by Historic Pittsburgh. Specifically, the Northland collection will focus on the Borough of Bradford Woods, Franklin Park Borough, Marshall Township, the Town of McCandless, Ross Township and the immediate surrounding areas. A few exceptions may be made for images of particular historic value that are from the greater Pittsburgh area.
Northland Adult Services Staff reserves/ maintains the right for final approval and selection of all content and links on the Northland Local History Website. Northland is not responsible for content on other websites.
